John Mowat, Head of Strategic Policy, Pay.uk
John is Head of Strategic Policy at Pay.UK, which operates the UK’s interbank retail payment systems (Bacs, FPS and ICS) and a variety of central payment services, such as the Current Account Switch Service, Confirmation of Payee and Request to Pay. John previously held roles at the CMA, HM Treasury and the PSR. Before payments, he managed European equity funds, with a focus on activism and restructuring. He began his career in corporate restructuring at KPMG.

Dan Moore, Head of Strategy, Analysis and Engagement, Payment Systems Regulator
Dan joined the PSR in January 2024 as its Head of Strategy and Intelligence.
Prior to this, he was the Director of Rail Strategy and Analysis at the Department for Transport (DfT), having previously worked at the Competition and Markets Authority - where, amongst other things, he led projects into various aspects of financial services.
At the DfT, Dan led a broad range of strategy, analysis, and innovation projects across rail – delivering positive outcomes at a time of massive change and challenge - particularly as rail responded to Brexit and the Covid pandemic. This ranged from leading delivery of major rail funding decisions, through to rail regulatory strategy and supporting international rail.

Natalie Lewis, Partner, Travers Smith
Natalie Lewis is a partner and Head of the Fintech, Market Infrastructure and Payments (FMIP) Group at Travers Smith.
Natalie is regularly sought out for strategic advice in relation to wholesale and retail payments, securities settlement, and the development of innovative and cutting-edge products and systems using cloud technologies, distributed ledger technology and digital assets. Her clients include the operators of systemically important financial market infrastructures, payment institutions and other fintech clients – who collectively move trillions of pounds' worth of funds and assets every day.
Natalie has received significant recognition for her work – for example, she has been shortlisted for "Commercial Lawyer of the Year" in the Women and Diversity in Law Awards 2024. Natalie also led the Travers Smith team that won the "Moving the Market Forward" FT Innovative Lawyers Award in 2021 for the launch of a new Euro payments mechanism which was of systemic importance to the market.

Simon Eacott, Head of Payments, NatWest Bank
Simon has extensive experience in the Payments industry, with expertise in strategic change programmes, cash management sales, operations and product management.
In his current role as Head of Payments for NatWest Group, Simon is responsible for setting the Groups Payments strategy including, Product and Scheme management, Operations and Innovation.
Previously the Head of Product Development & Innovation, Simon led the Payments customer centric Innovation programme together with product / scheme responsibilities.
Prior to this role Simon was Head of Design and Franchise Delivery leading teams to deliver transformational change to meet alternative State Aid remedies with the European Commission and Her Majesty’s Treasury following the decision to stand down the divestment of Williams & Glyn.
Simon joined RBS in 1994 from HSBC where he held various leadership roles in Payments and Cash Management.
Well known and respected at industry fora, Simon is chair of the Strategic Participant Group supporting Pay.UK and an Advisory Board member of Pennies (pennies.org.uk)
Simon has two children and he is a keen cyclist and golfer as well as a long suffering fan of Yeovil Town Football Club.
