Summary

City & Financial Global is delighted to announce its third annual Summit on the Reform of the UK  Public and Private Capital Markets, taking place on 13 October 2025 in Central London.

The purpose of the Summit is to provide a forum for companies and capital markets practitioners to learn how the ongoing reform of the UK’s public and private capital markets will affect them. It will also provide a detailed assessment of whether current and future reforms will create an environment in which companies can flourish, innovate and scale-up.

According to recent research by Schroders, American investors have pumped more than $15 billion into UK equities since the start of the year - more than into other overseas markets. With the FTSE 100 trading at record highs, valuations have been boosted. This will no doubt have been picked up on by companies considering whether to list in London, many of whom reacted well to the relaxation in regulatory requirements here but remained concerned by the perceived valuation gap between the UK and U.S.

Chaired by James Palmer, Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, this year’s Reform of the UK Public and Private Capital Markets Summit, taking place on 13 October, is a unique forum for key figures in the capital markets ecosystem to discuss the next phase of reform in the UK and the new opportunities it may bring both for companies that are considering where to list and for market practitioners.
