Synopsis
The 8th Annual Culture and Conduct Forum builds on the success of the seven previous editions, all of which have been very well attended and highly rated. This event has become the ‘must attend’ event for the UK financial services industry.
This prestigious summit brings together industry leaders and other experts to discuss the latest developments in culture and conduct and to share best practice.
This year’s edition comes at a time of unprecedented challenges and change – a war on the continent of Europe, a global energy crisis, rampant inflation, a cost-of-living crisis, imminent recession, and, in the UK, a new monarch, a new prime minister, a new cabinet and a new approach to management of the economy – all of this hard on the heels of the pandemic. Against this background, it is vital for financial institutions to ensure that their culture is resilient and fit for purpose, which is the overarching theme of this year’s programme.
This year’s programme focuses on the following highly relevant, cutting-edge issues:
- The role of regulation in shaping culture
- What does good ‘purpose-led’ behaviour look like?
- The impact of the FCA’s new Consumer Duty on regulated firms’ culture
- Improving access to support for employees with mental health issues
- The evolving hybrid work model: towards greater integration of personal and business lives
- Creating a culture in which employees feel comfortable about discussing mental health issues
- Structuring incentives and bonuses to promote healthy cultures
- Intersectionality I: disaggregating the E,S and G of ESG and their individual implications for culture
- Addressing the ethical challenges presented by an increasingly AI-driven industry
- Intersectionality II: the case for integrating racial and gender diversity initiatives to improve cultural outcomes
- Measuring ethical culture: outcomes or behaviours?
