Future of UK Financial Services Regulation Summit 2022
City and Financial Global was pleased to announce its highly topical Summit on the Future of UK Financial Services Regulation, taking place on 27th September 2022.
The government’s drive to develop a distinctively UK regulatory regime for financial services is gathering pace. Taken together, these measures amount to a sea change for financial services practitioners. At the macro level, the government has pledged to remove unnecessary EU legislation from the statute book and to shift to a more traditionally UK approach to regulation, reflecting the benefits of our common law system. Greater freedom is to be given to the regulators to set their own rules with the intention of making them nimbler and more responsive.
Regulation of Listed Companies Summit 2022
City & Financial Global’s Regulation of Listed Companies Summit, took place on 16th June 2022, was the definitive forum for listed companies, prospective issuers and their professional advisers to explore the next generation of regulatory reforms and what they mean in practice for companies, company directors and investors.
Since our previous Summit in September 2021, a great deal has happened and the programme has been comprehensively revised and updated to take account of the latest wave of reforms. One of the key changes was the Treasury’s proposed reform of the Financial Reporting Council and the introduction of a Sarbanes-Oxley style approach to internal controls and governance which is, or should be, at the top of every boardroom agenda.
